rebranding the Music City

Branding / Logo Identity
Nashville CVB

When you come to the Music City, Nashville, this is the logo you’ll see on the official tour guides, street lamps, attraction signs, football stadium end zone, etc. We worked with the Convention & Visitors Bureau to update the city's branding, with a primary goal was to distance them from the idea that Nashville is strictly known for it's country music. While that is such a part of the area's history more and more musicians are emerging in other genres.

Along with styling the lettering from scratch and applying to ads and displays of all kinds, a graphics style guide was created for the CVB to maintain consistency in all of their branding efforts.

Creating an Identity

Branding / Logo Identity
Multiple Clients

A company's logo is only one part of their overall brand, but, it can speak volumes. Benjamin Ian Design's effective logo creation process includes a detailed design brief, research and brainstorming, preliminary concepts presented as sketches, and finalization with color applications.

Here are some examples of logos and identity packages that we have created.

Ryan Laird

Ryan Laird is a talented, young Canadian musician and songwriter. Jumping on an opportunity to promote this artist in a uniquely, creative way, BID&P put together a creative concept, shot and composited multiple elements to create a high-traffic billboard in Music City — in a matter of a few days.

Little did we know that the image would soon be making the rounds on all of the major celebrity news shows on television and the internet gossip rags. These include CMT, Entertainment Tonight, and GAC.

Hope Clinic for Women

Nashville has long had a beacon of hope for women facing difficult decisions in their lives. Hope Clinic for Women has been providing opportunities for women of all ages for 50 years.
When Nashville creative firm Benjamin Ian Design & Photography started working with this lovely group of compassionate people, their materials were very cold, medical and uninviting. We introduced a softer palette of warm colors and soft textures to promote a more comforting image. A logo refresh, new print and online materials has allowed the organization to increase their fundraising and affect more clients year after year.
